RMA responds quickly to assist 4 families from the Tau Lekoa Mine disaster

On 6 December 2019, an accident triggered by a rockfall, at the Tau Lekoa Mine in Orkney, North West, caused the fatality of 4 employees. Vincent Netshirungulu, RMA’s Claims Management Consultant and his team from the North West branch quickly attended to the 4 families of the mine employees, to start the process of putting the pensions in place.

Vincent and his team worked tirelessly, going the extra mile to collect all the necessary information and documentation from the families to ensure a quick and efficient process.

As an organisation it is our responsibility to ensure that our claimants and their families receive the care and compensation they are entitled to when they have endured a tragedy. The commitment and dedication demonstrated by Vincent and his team to assist these families embodies our brand promise of caring, compassionate, compensation.

“We would like to thank Vincent and his team, for their efforts and for sacrificing their family time to look after our clients. They truly demonstrated living the RMA values”, said Ernest Hadzhi, General Manager, Operations.

RMA and Nedbank Partner to make life better for our pensioners in Swaziland

We have recently engaged with our RMA Swaziland pensioners concerning the challenges they face regarding their current financial institutions where their pensions are paid into. Some of the concerns identified were that the bank charges are expensive, and our pensioners are experiencing a huge economic strain from these expenses.

To help eliminate the financial strain experienced by our Swaziland pensioners, we partnered with Nedbank, who agreed to take on our pensioners as clients and offer a full suite of quality financial services for free.

420 of our Swaziland pensioners have moved to Nedbank and we are in the process of moving over the final 37 pensioners.

We believe that through partnerships with organisations like Nedbank, we can go the extra mile to ensure that our pensioners and their families receive the care and compensation they are entitled to when they have sustained a work-related injury or occupational disease.
