  1. With RMA, people are our main core focus, my role leans more to the side of helping fix peoples issues/problems. Their problems are our problems, and this helps us manage a good connect and foundation even a long-term relationship with them.

  2. My Job title is a Software Developer, and my role is to ensure that the system is operating correctly and any defect that needs to be urgently fixed so that either a claimant can be paid, or a pensioner is paid accordingly as per month end run.

  3. To be honest, I’d say it would be the first introduction and being able to comply in closing calls that were urgent and were complex, that was a grand experience.

  4. Wow, I have learned a lot, particularly about the RMA system, and how a Software Developer is supposed to operate and, coming back to how one is supposed to act in the workplace or rather work environment being emotionally Intelligent. This has helped me gain knowledge on my love for Development.

  5. So, being a Software Developer on a typical day, I would have to look at certain tasks that I have under my name that were assigned to me by my Dev Lead, some are critical(which have to be done at a certain period of time dependent on the level of the call), then I have a daily meeting regarding the progress of the calls which were done yesterday and if there’s any feedback on what a certain issue was on a particular call. What makes me wake up in the morning to come to RMA is the enthusiastic feel of being here to complete a task that was giving you issues the previous day, the thrill of being under pressure and you must think on your feet is the one thing that makes me feel like waking up and coming into RMA.
  1. Basically, besides having stakeholders and investors coming into the building, RMA basically has the feel of working at Google, where everyone is just chilled and being able to communicate/interact with people face-to-face and not having to do it electronically because we are in the IT Department.

  2. Being able to deal with people is the main objective, as the one of the values reads “Caring for the wellbeing of our people” followed by “Treating others with dignity and respect”. These are the core in personality as well, you need to be able to communicate with people, engage in tasks that require human interaction. “Empowering our people to use their initiative”, this for me falls again on another professional trait, this works with your own thinking, your own discretion where one needs to do introspection before just doing anything.

  3. I am still an intern, so I don’t have any benefits yet, but I can tell you that from the people in the department do say that RMA has good benefits and that it broadens it benefits to everyone, of course depending on your experience and department. The perks though are that it’s a good company to work for, in-fact it is a great company to work for. My parents are old, very, every month I must help with groceries where I can, so getting this internship really upscaled my knowledge and helped me help my parents via their needs and mine and I’m very thankful for that.

  4. I am always excited, especially when I hear of the projects that are already in place and the ones that are coming in. Change is good and bad, but it’s great to see a company on its way to the outbreak, and being a part of it, being able to say that -Conjointly- I was a part of a big project for a big company is one thing I would love to reflect on one day and thank RMA for giving me an opportunity to gauge my full potential into the right direction.
