C-Filing: Capturing of employee details

RMA is continuously working towards improving our online system for the submission of claims. One of these improvements was introduced in 2019 with the commencement of the Straight Through Processes (STP) for the speedy resolution of claims.

The STP process is automated, and in order for the claim to be processed on STP, we need to be able to verify the details of a claimant (employee) through a system called VOPD (Verification of Personal Details), therefore it is important that employers capture the correct names, surname and identification number as it appears on the employees green identity document or ID card.

The VOPD system allows RMA to validate the employee’s personal details (names, surname, and ID number) against the Home Affairs system. With every successful validation, the employer will no longer be required to submit ID copies of the employees when submitting claims on their behalf. This process will also help to streamline the finalisation of claims.

Important to note

The VOPD system is only able to verify ID numbers against Home Affairs. In the case where the employee is using a passport for verification purposes, a certified copy of the passport will still be required.

We value your support and look forward to working with you towards an improved claims experience and service delivery.
